Your House Needs Some Help

I actually don't see myself as a maintenance tech. I'm not really that good with tools. However, I do appreciate and promote the regular maintenance of your home!
Regular checks and care can go a long way in prolonging the life of your systems and house as a whole. When I show properties to a buyer, they notice the age of systems and what service maintenance has been done.
At the start of each new season, I remind myself to check smoke detector batteries, carbon monoxide detector batteries and change HVAC filters in my own home. Some other seasonal check lists include:
Fall
- Furnace and hot water heater get tune ups.
- Check gutter and downspouts from the leaves of fall.
Winter
- Chimney inspected/cleaned.
- Turn off or winterize exterior water sources.
Spring
- A/C gets a tune up and check on the sump pump.
- Clean the dryer vent.
Summer
- Power wash the exterior of your house.
- Touch up exterior paint.
